I am honoured to be nominated for the Council of the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS). Having been a member of the theory community for more than 10 years, I treasure the openness and kindness of our research culture and I hope that we can maintain this inclusive and open spirit in our collaborations. I am a strong supporter of the idea that our conferences should provide an environment that is free from harassment and discrimination for all participants. The installation of a code of conduct for many of our theory conferences is an important step in the right direction. I would advocate to implement a set of well-balanced rules and measures that help enforce the code of conduct to make our community meetings a better place for everyone.
